For Your Information
Caution when buying Essential Oils
It is always best to buy essential oils from a reputable, reliable
source. There are many products available today which are adulterated,
dilute and even misleading. To ensure you are buying the oil you want,
check the Latin name as well as the English name and, where possible, see
which country the oil comes from. For example a variety of Mugwort (Artemisia
arborescens) is often sold under the name Chamomile Blue, it has the same
anti-inflammatory properties as true Chamomiles but is a powerful
emmenagogue (might lead to miscarriage) and should not be used in
pregnancy. Lavender has many varieties. Lavender Mont Blanc ( Lavenderi
vera, L. officinalis, angustifolia) is very therapeutic. Spike Lavender (Lavendula

qualities. Some brands do not specify which lavender they are offering. It
is always best to buy essential oils from a reputable, reliable source.
